I found this CD on Amazon's list of Best Classical recordings from 2008. It is a ripsnorter--very wild and interesting modern/classical (?) music from Latin American composers with the addition of the Bernstein's Symphonic Dances from West Side Story. As Stephen pointed out to me, and as I have noticed as well, Latin America is rapidly rising as the happenin' place in all kinds of music, not just their traditional forms. Such interesting stuff and played very well by a bunch of kids. If anyone wants to borrow it, I have it.
